Tenure-track Faculty Position - Biochemistry

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Texas State University invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor tenure-track faculty position in Biochemistry in the fall of 2018. Assistant Professor applicants must have: a Ph.D. or equivalent earned degree in biochemistry or a closely related field; relevant postdoctoral or equivalent research experience; the ability to teach biochemistry courses at the undergraduate and graduate level; a demonstrated outstanding ability to conduct research at the interface of chemistry and biology; and a strong potential to establish a vigorous, externally funded research program. Associate Professor candidates must in addition have established a robust, externally funded independent research program and demonstrated an ability to teach effectively at the undergraduate and graduate level.  The eligible candidate will receive the appropriate rank based on university and department standards. The successful candidate should communicate well with diverse populations, have research expertise that complements the department, and be able to effectively mentor undergraduate and graduate students.
