Welcome to University College
Greetings from Texas State's University College.
University College, formerly known as The College of General Studies, was established in 1983. The College was created to provide an academic home for the advisement of undecided majors and to provide an administrative structure for coordination and oversight of the University's General Education curriculum. Initially and over the intervening years, University College has also become the administrative home of several specific units including the University Seminar program, the University Honors Program, the Student Learning Assistance Center (SLAC), the National Student Exchange (NSE), the Testing Research-Support and Evaluation Center, Texas Success Initiative Program (TSIP), and Athletic Certification and the Athletic Academic Center.
