Why Texas State

I dreamt of studying for my master’s degree at a prestigious university. Some of my friends suggested I come to this university because they found that the level of education is good here. I came here to pursue my master’s and I fell completely in love with Texas State. 

My Most Valuable Learning Experience at Texas State

Being a member of the Indian Students Association, I met people from different ethnicities and races and made friends across various communities. I came to know about the value of unity in diversity. Also, being a graduate assistant at Texas State, I learned moral and ethical values that made me a stronger person. The most satisfying thing for me was that I learned to live independently, working to earn my own money and living on my own.

Best Studying Advice

Select a good environment for study and keep your mind peaceful.

My Organizations

I have been an active member of the Indian Students Association and have been involved in organizing numerous events with the association. I also participated in a few cultural events and have been involved with the International Students Association.

Where I Relax

I especially like Sewell Park, which is the best place to hang out with friends.

What I Like Most About Texas State

I love everything about Texas State. It has been a joy-filled ride for me. Texas State has been a home for me, miles away from my home back in India. The people here at Texas State are amazing and very friendly. 

 

What I Tell Future Texas State Students

I would tell everyone who is interested in attending Texas State, "You have knocked on the right door." This place is like a second home. You will never feel that you are away from your own home. You will have a wide variety of choices here, be it study or fun. The people, faculty and friends here are absolutely great and they will be there to help you in every way they can. You will feel proud that you made the right decision choosing Texas State.
