I chose Texas State University because I love the atmosphere of San Marcos. It’s also not too far from my hometown.
I find human behavior to be fascinating, and I wanted to understand more about how the human brain works.
I plan to attend graduate school and earn a master’s and a doctorate in family and marital therapy. I plan to have my own practice.
Robyn Rogers, who teaches Reality Therapy and Behavior Modification. Taking her class reinforced why I want to become a therapist. She keeps her students engaged in her classes. She is truly passionate about her work. I’ve learned so much!
Too many experiences to choose one, but I must say that being a student at Texas State has enhanced my character and made me a more determined person.
Time management is key; do not procrastinate. Get your work done ahead of time; it makes life easier and less stressful.

The Sound of Music
George’s is a great place to hang out on campus! There’s fun and games, plus Pizza Hut and Starbucks are right across from it.
The library is the best place to study. There are quiet floors and group and private study rooms that make it easier to focus.
I love the diversity on the Texas State campus. I also love the many campus resources that are available for the enrichment of students.
I would tell them that it’s an amazing university. The professors and the staff are very helpful to students, and there are more than 300 organizations to be involved in. It’s a great school.
