My Most Valuable Learning Experience at Texas State I learned my freshman year that time management is key to effective learning. I had to understand that there are 24 hours in a day! Best Studying Advice Read, read and read! Study in an environment that suits your learning needs. Ask yourself, “Do I study better with people or in isolation?” I often study on the fourth or seventh floors of the library. I have made some of my best friends through my involvement with groups like NABA. Best Campus Hangout George’s. I go to study, watch football games on the giant TV screen, play pool, or even share a special moment with a friend. Best Campus Restaurant or Dining Hall I like to eat at Jones Food Court. They have several healthy food choices. I love the toasted turkey sandwich on wheat with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and both mayo and mustard. Where To Go to Relax I like to view the beautiful scenery of San Marcos from the top level of my apartment complex’s parking garage. At night, the city of San Marcos lights up wonderfully. I think the stars seem to shine brighter in the Hill Country. What I Like Most About Texas State I love the people and the faculty that make this school great! | | | |
