Why Texas State
I was recruited for the track and field team, and Texas State has a very good athletic program and great coaching staff. I also, enjoy the Texas weather. It reminds me of Jerusalem.
Career Goals
To work on alternative renewable energy sources. It’s one of the biggest needs today.
Favorite Professor
Dr. Tate Jitendra in engineering is my favorite professor because he wants his students not only to complete his course, but also understand the material and apply the knowledge to real life. He is available for students almost 24/7 and ready to help with any problem.
Best Studying Advice
Use multiple sources of information; don’t stick to only textbook and lectures. Students need to read books, newspaper, magazines, watch TV, attend conferences and more. Also, join professional organizations or student organizations for your major. My best experiences at Texas State are related to a student chapter of Society of Manufacturing Engineers.
My Organizations and Teams
I did the pole vault and decathlon on the track and field team, was an officer in the Society of Manufacturing Engineers and was treasurer of Hillel, the Jewish Students Organization.
Benefits of Membership
I had the opportunity to compete at the Southland Conference track and field meet for the Bobcats, and I also was able to attend conferences for SME. I have made friends forever and have had very good time during our activities.
