| Welcome!! Students who want to spend a week this summer improving their music skills while making new friends should consider attending one of the band camps offered at Texas State University-San Marcos. The university’s School of Music hosts summer band camps for students of all levels. At Texas State’s band camps, students enjoy both performance and educational opportunities with plenty of time for extracurricular activities, including a talent show, a night at George's live music venue on campus, a movie night and more recreational activities designed to foster friendships and fun. The instructional staff includes university professors and acclaimed public school band directors and, unique to the Texas State University camps, the majority of the counseling staff are also certified teachers!
