Band Camps

Students who want to spend a week this summer improving their music skills while making new friends should consider attending one of the band camps offered at Texas State University-San Marcos. The university’s School of Music hosts summer band camps for students of all levels.

At Texas State’s band camps, students enjoy both performance and educational opportunities with plenty of time left for extracurricular activities, including a talent show, a night at George's live music venue on campus, a movie night and more recreational activities designed to foster friendships and fun.

A Message from the Director

“Few band camps in the country offer the diverse and substantial curriculum that ours do. They feature courses in music theory, composition and music technology, as well as applied lessons on all instruments. The opportunity to make music with leaders in the field of instrumental music education is one students will not want to pass up.”
