The Texas State Concert Band meets in both the fall and spring semesters and is open to all students. The ensemble is conducted by graduate students in the instrumental conducting program as well as outstanding senior level music education students.

Membership in the Concert Band consists of both music and non-music majors. Non-music majors are not required to audition for membership and every student in the university regardless of major is invited and encouraged to participate. One hour of university credit is given to each participating student. The ensemble rehearses on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00-6:15 pm.

The Concert Band concert dates are as follows:

October 6, 2009 – Evans Auditorium – 8:00 p.m.

November 17, 2009 – Evans Auditorium – 8:00 p.m.

March 4, 2010 – Evans Auditorium – 8:00 p.m.

April 28, 2010 – Evans Auditorium – 8:00 p.m.
