ANTH 3355 Introduction to Lacandon Maya
Program activities include: - Living in the Lacandon Maya community of Naha
- Activities in Maya Households
- Excursions to the ancient Maya sites of Palenque and Tonina
- Observing howler monkeys in the rain forest
- Rainforest hikes to learn about rainforest ecology & conservation
- Excursions to the Maya community of San Juan Chamula
The Cost: Cost for each participant is $2334.90
*. This price includes:
- Six credit hours of tuition
- Hotel (double room)
- All ground transportation in Mexico
- Entrance fees to scheduled activities
- all University and Study Abroad fees
* Cost is an estimate based on current exchange rates which may change. Scholarships of up to $3,000 are available for qualified students.
Enrollment Period:
Monday Sept. 25, 2006 - Wednesday January 31, 2007
Deposit and reimbursement schedule: - Students must pay a non-refundable $500 deposit by December 4, 2006.
- Late deposits of $750 accepted until January 31, 2007.
- Students who drop between March 20-30, will receive a 75% refund.
- Students who drop between April 1 to April 15, will receive a 50% refund.
- Students who drop after April 15, 2007 will receive no refund.
