Allies Training

I'm an Ally, are you?

Attend an upcoming Allies Training in order to become an official Texas State Ally!

Individuals who wish to participate in the Allies of Texas State program must attend a training.  At teh end of the training, individuals have the option of signing a contract required to become an Ally.  Those who sign the contract will recieve an Ally of Texa State placard and/or pin.  These two items symbolize understanding, support, and trust.  They also signify a "safe place" which is a location and environment where LGBTQ individuals can speak in confidence and recieve help, advice, and support.

Upon the completion of a training, individuals receive a Certificate of Completion.  This certificate also certifies that a participant has earned four (4) hours of Continuing Education Units (CEUs) credit.

Snacks and refreshments are provided at afternoon and morning trainings.  Participants are encouraged to eat prior to trainings.
