The Texas State Mentoring Program is offered through the Vice President of Student Affairs Office. The program is designed to help freshmen and transfers connect with the campus community and have a successful and positive experience at Texas State. This occurs through students, faculty and staff who serve as role models, advisors, guides and friends. While mentors are available to everyone, LGBTQ students often face different challenges. Because of this, LGBTQ students can request a LGBTQ or Ally mentor who understands their concerns. For more information about the Mentoring Program, you can visit the VPSA website. If you are interested in becoming a mentor or mentee, please fill out an application and submit it on-line.
Please contact the Mentoring Staff at mentoring@txstate.edu if you have any questions.
