Advise TX hires recent Texas State University graduates to serve as College Advisers in selected low-income high schools throughout the state. Advisers will help Texas high school students in underserved communities realize their dream of attending college. As full-time Texas State employees, advisers work alongside high school staff, to assist students with college admissions, financial aid, and scholarship applications. Advisers are expected to serve the entire school year, with a possibility to extend term of service for an additional year. College Advisers who complete the year of service earn an additional Educational Award that can be used towards paying off student loans and/or Graduate School.

Interested applicants are encouraged to attend an information session or career fair to learn more about the program. Program Director will be on hand to discuss experiences in the Corps and to answer your questions.
