- In order to maintain effective communication between the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) and Texas State University-San Marcos, the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs (Provost) is responsible for maintaining contact with the Universities Division of the THECB concerning all administrative units, courses, degree programs, degree proposals, and faculty.
- The Provost is responsible for requests and correspondence to the THECB regarding additions, changes and deletions in the degree program inventory at Texas State. The Provost shall also be responsible for responding to THECB requests for clarification regarding Texas State degree programs.
- The Director of Curriculum Services (Director) in the Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs is responsible for annually updating the Course Inventory as required by the THECB. The Director, at the direction of the Provost, is also responsible for responding to the THECB on requests for clarification regarding courses at Texas State.
- The Faculty Contracts Administrator (Administrator) in the Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, at the direction of the Provost, is responsible for responding to the THECB on requests for clarification regarding faculty at Texas State.
- The Chief Reporting Official (CRO) is the Office of Institutional Research is responsible along with the Director of Institutional Research for coordinating the official state reports and other ad hoc reports to the THECB. The CRO works with various Texas State offices for the accurate and timely completion of the CBM reports and will provide the staff in those offices with detailed guidelines for the reports. The Director of Curriculum Services and the Faculty Contracts Administrator, at the direction of the Provost, will work with the CRO and the Director of Institutional Research to provide necessary information for the official state reports and ad hoc reports.
