Responsibilities
Rhetorical Methods/Organizational Rhetoric assistant/associate professor, tenure-track faculty member to teach graduate and undergraduate courses in rhetorical methods and organizational rhetoric beginning Fall 2009. In addition to organizational, the candidate may also have rhetorical research and teaching applications to health or political communication contexts. Opportunities exist for teaching during the summer.
Qualifications
Required:
Ph.D. in Communication Studies with an emphasis in organizational rhetoric and rhetorical methods. The department has a strong M.A. program. For a candidate to be hired at the associate professor level he/she must meet established department criteria for the rank of associate professor. University-level teaching experience is required. Evidence of communication research using rhetorical research paradigms as evidenced by published articles and/or the presentation of research papers at professional conferences is required.
Preferred:
Graduate coursework or expertise in related areas (such as health or political communication) is preferred.
