Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be expected to:
- Deliver social work curriculum for professional micro, mezzo, and macro practice
- Contribute to clinical professional education, student supervision, program development and leadership, and other areas of practical application
- Give accurate professional and academic student advisement, and provide appropriate mentoring and role-modeling
- Participate in developing and refining social work curricula and delivery strategies to meet the School’s mission
- Serve the School, University, community, and profession in meaningful ways
Qualifications
Required:
The selected candidate must:
- Hold the MSW
- Show evidence of at least ten (10) years of post-BSW and/or –MSW social work practice experience
- Hold social work licensure as an LMSW or LCSW in good standing
- Demonstrate abilities to work as an effective team member
- Show evidence of being an effective teacher
Preferred:
The selected candidate should:
- Document outstanding professional social work practice experience
- Document evidence of solid leadership in serving the profession and the community
- Demonstrate evidence of continuing professional learning post-MSW and potential for on-going professional growth
- Show evidence of high-quality supervision experience with staff and/or students in practice settings
