Job 2008-45 - Assistant Professor
Responsibilities
The School of Health Administration at Texas State University is seeking applicants near or at the beginning of their academic career and invites applications at the Assistant Professor level for a fully funded nine-month appointment. Responsibilities include teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses, scholarly activities, and university and community service.
Qualifications
Required:
Candidates for Assistant Professor of Health Administration must have a doctorate from a regionally accredited university or be within one year of completion as certified by the dissertation director. A successful candidate would be tenure-track and have evident of a research plan and emerging productivity. Candidates should possess competencies-through education, teaching, and /or work experience in one of the following:
- healthcare human resources
- healthcare research
- healthcare informatics
- healthcare accounting and finance
At the time of the appointment, the successful applicant, if not a US citizen, must have authorization from the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services to work in the United States.
Preferred:
Doctorate in Healthcare Administration or closely related field. Experience in distance learning.
