This listing of proposals received
by the Office of the Provost shows the status of program and administrative
requests that have been received after action by the College Council and
Graduate Dean if appropriate. Program proposals are submitted and reviewed in
accordance with Texas State Academic Affairs Policy and Procedure Statement
2.05. Administrative requests are processed according to PPS 2.11. All
on-campus actions constitute recommendations to the President.
The list is updated
approximately twice a month, usually around the 1st and 15th. Additional
information about the status of a pending proposal may be obtained by
contacting Ms. Micky Autrey, Director of Curriculum Services in the Office of the Provost and VPAA, via email at Micky@txstate.edu or via telephone at
512-245-8122.
In general, a date in
parentheses indicates the stage at which the proposal is awaiting action and
the meeting date for the proposal to be reviewed, and a date without
parentheses is the date of action at that particular stage. Column
abbreviations and definitions are:
· DATED REC'D - Indicates
the date that proposals are received in the Office of
the Provost.
· RET'D TO DEPT - Proposals are sometimes sent back to the submitting
academic unit for further development. The date in parentheses indicates when
the proposal was returned to the unit. Date without parentheses indicates
when the proposal was revised and resubmitted.
· PROVOST Preliminary - The Provost has authorized further review by
appropriate bodies. Approval at this stage does not constitute recommendation
of the proposal by the Office of the Provost.
· UCC - University Curriculum Committee
· FS - Faculty Senate
· CAD - Council of Academic Deans
· PROVOST Final - Approval at this stage constitutes a recommendation from the Provost to the President.
· UC - University Council
· PRES - President
· BOR - Board of Regents
· THECB - Texas
