The FAMA pre-engineering program curriculum is designed with the goal of engaging students in grade-appropriate exploration of science and mathematics concepts as well as engineering and science practices. Each grade level curriculum will have a NASA-related theme and supporting curriculum based on a particular field of engineering and will center on accompanying NASA educational materials to introduce engineering, technology, engineering design, and the field of engineering. These materials will be integrated with appropriate lessons in select mathematics concepts using materials from the Texas State University Mathworks project. Each day, students will be engaged in creating their own understanding by exploring and explaining algebraic ideas and processes, within the context of engineering problem solving while having fun!
The Aerospace Engineering Camp is a free program for San Marcos CISD funded by NASA.
